Reading analytics
What people searched, what came up empty, and how to turn that into a weekly fix list.
Every index's Analytics tab shows what your visitors actually searched for, so relevance work starts from evidence instead of guessing.
The query table
| Column | Meaning |

| Query | The literal text searched |
| Searches | How many times it was searched, in the selected period |
| No-result | How many of those searches returned zero hits |
| CTR | Share of searches that led to a click |
| Top clicked | The result clicked most often for this query |
| Last searched | When this query was last seen |
Filter the table to Missed (queries with a meaningful no-result rate) or Hit (queries that are working) to focus your attention.
Turning a missed query into a fix
Each row in the Missed filter links directly to the same fix-list actions the playground offers:
- Add a synonym, if the query is just different wording for something that already exists.
- Pin a result, if one page should always be the answer.
- Mark as a missing page, if nothing on your site answers this yet — this flags it as a content gap, separate from a relevance problem, so it does not keep resurfacing as if it were fixable in the dashboard.
Click events
A click on a result reports back which query and position it came from:

What "approximate" means
Every number here is labeled approximate, on purpose. Query events go through Analytics Engine, which samples at scale and never stores anything that could re-identify a visitor — see Security for exactly what is and is not recorded. Treat these numbers as a strong directional signal for what to fix, not an exact count to reconcile against another system.
Turning query logging off
Query logging is on by default and can be switched off per index from Settings, if you would rather not record query text at all for that index. Turning it off stops all analytics for that index, including the query table above.
